Fidelity Life Association, a Legal Reserve Life Insurance Company, adopted its present title in 2007, when the company changed to a stock life insurance company in a mutual holding company structure. Effective October of 2005, Fidelity Life Association terminated a long standing management service agreement, most recently with Chase Insurance Life and Annuity Company (CILAAC), and its operations are now managed by company employees and are independent of the prior management agreement with CILAAC. The company is licensed in 48 states and the District of Columbia. Fidelity Life Association is not licensed in Wyoming or New York. As of 12/31/2008, the company had assets of $514,697,000 and liabilities of $257,877,000.
