Ending a marriage is tough enough without the additional stress of Insurance disputes. Here's my advice to help you minimize problems.

Make sure that you're the owner of your policies. Have the billing address changed to your address. And change the beneficiaries from your ex-spouse to your children or another person. Reevaluate your Life Insurance needs. You may need less. Or, if you're a single parent, you may need substantially more.
