This recommendation has two parts. The first is to buy Life Insurance. The second is to buy more than you think you'll need. Or, more appropriately, more than you think your survivors will need. A lot more—25 to 50 percent more. Especially if you have a young family and/or especially if you're buying low-cost Term Life Insurance. It's cheap stuff. You can afford to be extra generous.
